DJ Koala was transformed by early house music in 1998 at the age of 17. A $500 Turntable was unheard of - but an absolute necessity to becoming a DJ. Owning a Technics SL-1200 MK2 was the mission, and beg borrow and steal he did to get his first deck.
Yes the 1200's are legendary, but having only one of the masterfully created mechanical wonders was like having only one ear in a sunglasses or stereo shop. It's great that you can hear from one, but you are missing the very essence reason for two and simply put to function as a dj, you need two decks. Koala also went to school at Ryserson for Radio and Television Arts and hosted several Radio Show, including shows on CHIN, AM640, CFRU, CIUT, 88.1, GLOBAL GROOVE and Internet Only Radio Broadcasters. Two turntables and a mixer. Two turntables and a microphone. Two turntables turned into CDJ's and now Laptop. 5000 Vinyl memories purchased or given to him free for promo while running Klublife Magazine. Klublife was the extension of Dj Koala's graphic design daytime career and became a very important magazine for and about the house music scene. Dj Koala was unhappy with the partner arrangement when he was running Klublife Magazine for nearly 4 years. The lack of cooperation by partners and more importantly lack of financial involvement or support by certain partners forced him to make a decision to sell Klublife in 2001. 416 Design Lab was born. And fine designs like fine wine have been flowing out of his mind and office ever since. Please visit the latest business project : http://Iknowwebsites.com |
